Daily Potomac flow and demand update (Tuesday 2019-10-01)

Submitted by admin1 on Tue, 10/01/2019 - 09:00

Yesterday's unexpected showers brought some needed relief to the basin, and streamflows are increasing slightly. According to Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center estimates, most of the basin received between 0.25 to 0.75 inches of rain over the past 24 hours. However, no rain is expected over the next 3 days.

The USACE's recreational release last Saturday from Savage Reservoir is now passing by the USGS's stream gage at Hancock, Maryland - see https://waterdata.usgs.gov/md/nwis/uv/?site_no=01613000&PARAmeter_cd=00….
