According to Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center estimates, little or no rain fell in the Potomac basin over the past 72 hours. According to forecasts, no significant rain is expected for the next 7 days.
The USACE Baltimore District Office determines release rates for water quality storage from Jennings Randolph Reservoir and matching release rates from Savage Reservoir. They have scheduled a whitewater recreational release from Savage Reservoir this Saturday, Sep 28. The release rate is planned to be 1000 cfs from 10 AM to 4 PM. We expect to see elevated flows from this release at Point of Rocks and Little Falls later next week.
