Daily Potomac flow and demand update (Wednesday 07/07/2010)

Flow at Point of Rocks is currently 1,910 cfs (1,234 MGD). The basin received no rain yesterday. The National Weather Service (NWS) quantitative precipitation forecasts (qpf) indicate a chance of 0.75 to 1.5 inches of accumulated rain across the basin over the next 5 days. On July 4, there was a 6 hour whitewater release from Savage of 1,000 cfs. The release passed the Hancock gage yesterday.

Little Falls gage flow 07/06: 1010 MGD (1560 cfs)
Little Falls gage flow 07/07: 860 MGD (est., based on recently available real time data) (1330 cfs)
Note: Gage flow at Little Falls is measured after water supply withdrawals.
Point of Rocks flow 07/06: 1250 MGD (1930 cfs)
Point of Rocks flow 07/07: 1230 MGD (est., based on recently available real time data) (1910 cfs)

Net Potomac Production (07/06/10):
FW Corbalis raw water withdrawal (Potomac): 141 MGD
WSSC Potomac Production: 159 MGD
Aqueduct withdrawal: 185 MGD
Total Potomac demand: 485 MGD
