Submitted by admin1 on Wed, 08/04/2010 - 09:00

Due to a USGS database problem, the mean flows at both Point of Rocks and Little Falls are unavailable for 08/03. Flow values for these dates are taken from the most recent hourly reading from real time data. Precipitation amounts between 0 and 1/4 inch fell over most of the basin over the past 24 hours (ending 8 AM on Aug 4). Precipitation amounts between 0.5 and 1.5 inches fell over areas closer to Washington, D.C. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the basin for the next several days. The Mid-Atlantic River Forecasting Center quantitative precipitation forecasts (qpfs) indicate that most of the basin will receive precipitation amounts between 0.5 and 1 inch over the next 48 hours and between 0.75 to 1.75 inches over the next 5 days.
