Daily Potomac flow and demand update (Wednesday 08/03/2011)

Scattered showers producing less than 0.10 inches of rain occurred in
limited parts of the basin yesterday. The 48-hour forecast shows a
chance of up to 0.50 inches of rain across the basin. The National
Weather Service (NWS) quantitative precipitation forecasts (qpf)
indicates the basin could receive accumulated rainfall between 0.75
and 1.50 inches over the next 5 days.

Daily Flows:
Little Falls gage flow 08/02: 920 MGD (1430 cfs)
Little Falls gage flow 08/03: 980 MGD (est., based on recently
available real time data) (1520 cfs)
Note: Gage flow at Little Falls is measured after water
supply withdrawals.
Point of Rocks flow 08/02: 1180 MGD (1820 cfs)
Point of Rocks flow 08/03: 1120 MGD (est., based on recently
available real time data) (1740 cfs)

Net Potomac Production (08/02/11):
FW Corbalis raw water withdrawal (Potomac): 113 MGD
WSSC Potomac Production: 154 MGD
Aqueduct withdrawal: 186 MGD
Total Potomac demand: 453 MGD
