There was no significant rainfall in the basin over the last 24 hours. The National Weather Service predicts basin-wide average accumulations of approximately 1 to 3 inches over the next 2 days and significant rises in flow at the Point of Rocks and Little Falls gages over the next week.
WSSC reports that at 6:00 AM today they began reducing the release from Little Seneca Reservoir, and they plan to continue to make reductions in flow by 20 MGD every hour until outflow from the reservoir returns to normal. ICPRB staff are optimistic that the arrival of this 200 MGD test release will be clearly visible this morning at the USGS's Little Falls gage and that useful information on travel times will be provided.
