DROUGHT EXERCISE - Afternoon simulated Potomac flow and demand update (Sunday 09/30/2012)

Drought exercise simulation day: August 25 2022.

Combined water supply storage at Jennings Randolph and Little Seneca reservoirs fell to 60% of capacity this morning. Today's target flow at the Luke USGS gage remains 325 cfs and the Little Seneca release remains at 25 MGD.

SIMULATED Daily Flows:
Little Falls gage flow 08/24: 200 MGD (310 cfs)
Little Falls gage flow 08/25: 200 MGD (est., based on most recently available real time data) (302 cfs)
Note: Gage flow at Little Falls is measured after water supply withdrawals.
Point of Rocks flow 08/24: 580 MGD (900 cfs)
Point of Rocks flow 08/25: 570 MGD (est., based on recently available real time data) (880 cfs)

Fairfax Water:
Maintain the withdrawal at Occoquan at 90 MGD.

WSSC:
Maintain the Patuxent withdrawal at 30 MGD.

Seneca (release date, time, amount in MGD):
Continue the 25 MGD release from Little Seneca Reservoir.

Aqueduct:
Maintain the Little Falls withdrawal at 125 MGD. Meet the rest of demands using Great Falls.

Loudoun Water:
Water treatment plant production per operational preference. Limit Potomac withdrawal to water treatment plant need.

North Branch Reservoirs:
Today's Luke target is 325 cfs.
