Daily Potomac flow and demand update (Tuesday, 2022-10-25)

According to Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center (MARFC) map products, there was no significant precipitation in the basin over the past 24 hours. The basin has been dry over the past three days, with the exception of the Monocacy sub-basin, which received up to ½ inch of rain. MARFC predicts accumulations of  trace amounts to ¼ inch over the next three days.

Little Falls gage flow 2022-10-24: 1260 MGD (1950 cfs)
Little Falls gage flow 2022-10-25: 1260 MGD (est., based on recently available real time data) (1950 cfs)
Note: Gage flow at Little Falls is measured after water supply withdrawals.

Fairfax Water Corbalis withdrawal (Potomac): 75 MGD
WSSC Water Potomac withdrawal: 103 MGD
Washington Aqueduct withdrawal: 132 MGD
Loudoun Water withdrawal: 14 MGD
Loudoun Water Broad Run discharge: 7 MGD
Total Potomac withdrawal: 323 MGD
Total net Potomac withdrawal: 316 MGD
