Situational Awareness (Saturday, 2025-09-06)
Potomac River flows continue to decline. According to the Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center predictions, average rainfall in the Potomac watershed yesterday was negligible and approximately 1/4 inch is expected over the next 24 hours.

Special Conditions
The USACE has cancelled Jennings Randolph Reservoir artificially varied flow (AVF) releases scheduled for September 20th and 21st due to lack of cold water storage in the reservoir. The Corps is trying to meet water temperature targets in their releases to support the water quality mission of the project.

Little Falls gage flow 2025-09-06: 1144 MGD (est., based on recently available real-time data) (1770 cfs)
Note: Gage flow at Little Falls is measured after water supply withdrawals.

Point of Rocks flow 2025-09-06: 1163 MGD (est., based on recently available real-time data) (1800 cfs)
