Flows at Point of Rocks and Little Falls continue to decline. According to the Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center predictions, the average basin rainfall over the next 3 days may be around 0.7 inches.

Potomac River flows are again slowly declining. Total Washington metropolitan area withdrawals are now lower due to the arrival of autumn weather. According to Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center forecasts, up to an inch of rain is expected in the basin over the next three days.

River flows at the Little Falls gage continue to decline. Flows at the Point of Rocks gage show an overall downward trend, though marked inter-daily fluctuations are present. A field measurement was conducted at the Point of Rocks gage by the USGS on October 4.
